If you’ve seen Dance Moms … you’ve seen Maddie Ziegler. The talented 12-year-old, who was featured in Sia‘s video for her single Chandelier, got people talking in regards to her outfit. Now, she has an encore performance, wearing the same outfit, in another one of Sia’s videos Elastic … this time with actor Shia Labeouf.
People are pretty upset about the video and have called it “inappropriate,” and saying it screams “pedophile.” Sia has even taken to twitter to apologize for offending anyone. And even said she chose Maddie & Shia to portray versions of herself.
Personally, I loved Chandelier. I think Maddie is a phenomenal dancer, and her outfit didn’t bother me at all. Isn’t that what dancers wear? Now, when I first saw “Elastic,” I have to admit I was like “this is a little weird….” and I thought people may find this inappropriate. But then I took a second and realized, if it was in a movie, nobody would say anything because they would consider it acting. But why can’t it be acting because it’s a music video?
