Carlesha’s mother, Keisha Gaither, kept her statements brief during a news conference as she simply said, “I’m taking my baby home. Thank you!”
The abductor has been identified as a man named Delven Barnes, 37, and numerous tips from the public helpd authorities to catch him. After the story went national, people kept offering up tips on his car, and cops arrested him near Baltimore as he was seen getting out of the vehicle.
Delven, who has a history of violence, is being held in Virginia for attempted capital murder.
