The Dallas Cowboy’s have choose to waive Defensive end Michael Sam from their practice squad.
Sam is of course the NFL’s first openly gay football player who was drafted in the 7th round by the St. Louis Rams.
The Rams cut Sam and the Cowboy’s picked him up Sept. 3rd.
Although Sam spent his 7 weeks on the Cowboy’s practice squad, it was hopeful that he would land him a spot on the team’s the 53-man roster.

The Cowboy’s said that they are making room for a linebacker from the Jets and 2nd year pro out of central Florida, Troy Davis.
