Here’s a truth you maybe didn’t know: Every year consumers buy pink products they believe contribute funds to breast cancer awareness but to be honest charities do NOT have to specify if the product their pitching to consumers actually benefit breast cancer awareness.

Some products say they “promote women’s health” without any details about how the purchase will specifically provide money to a charity. Other products cap donations, such as aReebok line of pink-ribbon footwear in 2010 that limited total donations to $750,000.
