(HOUSTON) — Five teachers at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School were reportedly accused of helping kids on some very important state exams last spring.

According to reports, HISD Superintendent Dr. Terry Grier weighed students’ statements and some suspicious test scores and suggested firing the instructors. Instead, the school board approved a deal allowing four of the accused to resign, taking along a year’s salary with them.
