(HOUSTON) — For some families, getting kids ready to go back to school is considered one big hassle or an expense, but for others it is next to impossible without help.
Houston City Council Member Dwight Boykins has partnered with the parks and recreation department and a number of local businesses to put together this weekend’sBack-to-School Bash at Sunnyside Community Center.
To get the free school supplies, kids must bring their shot records and a current report card from their school. The only other requirement is that they must reside in District D.
The Back-to-School Bash starts Saturday at 9 a.m. First come, first served, while supplies last.[audio https://ronenews92fm.files.wordpress.com/2014/08/back-2-school-bash-vw-1-kcharles.mp3]
