(HOUSTON) – Whatever you call our city—Space City, The Bayou City, Clutch City, Screwston, the City with No Limits—one thing is certain: it’s one of America’s Coolest.

Forbes placed Houston as No. 4 on its 2014 list of America’s Coolest Cities, a designation which should come as no surprise given our status as a world-class international destination.

Six data points were used to calculate Houston’s cool factor among other hopefuls, including availability of professional and college sports events, zoos and aquariums, golf courses, ski areas, national parks, and cultural opportunities from live theater to museums.

Foodie fun was also taken into consideration, Forbes said, giving preference to cities with a greater percentage of local spots than chain restaurants.

A diverse population like Houston’s and average age also played a factor in making the 2014 list. Cities with a large share of people aged 20-34 were viewed more favorably.

By the way, in case you were wondering, Austin beat us at No. 3 (which is arguably fair), while Houston bests No. 10 Dallas (which we know is accurate.)
