(HOUSTON) — The Rice School is just one of the schools in Houston Independent School District that was in session making up a bad weather day Monday, but they found a unique way to mark the Memorial Day holiday.

Principal Kimberly Hobbs said students commemorated Memorial Day with interesting activities, including a human flag.

“We certainly are excited about the human flag we put together for our K-8 students,” Hobbs said. “We have 1,153 students, and we wanted to make this a fun day; a unique day.”
