(HOUSTON) — Grief counselors will be at MacArthur High School in North Houston today in the wake of the death of a teenage girl at her senior prom.
Police have identified the teenager as Jacqueline Gomez, 17. She was celebrating her prom with her classmates from MacArthur High School on Friday night at the Hyatt Hotel on North Sam Houston Parkway.
Saturday morning, her date found her in her room, not breathing. Detective Mike Miller spoke with our news partner KHOU.
But he says her date has been cooperative.
Police say there found alcohol and prescription painkillers in the room.
