(HOUSTON) — A woman was arrested for the April 28 killing of a man who was found shot to death in a burning car in Houston.

Firefighters were called to a car fire in the 3600 block of McKinney around 4 a.m. that day. They found the victim — 53-year-old Houston Edwards — inside the burning vehicle. He appeared to have been shot, police said.

Evidence from the scene and witness statements led police to identify the suspect as 45-year-old Sandra F. Berry.

Berry is charged with murder.
