GaggleKaty parents are being asked to remove an app from their children’s cell phones.

The principal of Seven Lakes High School says kids are using an app called ‘Gaggle‘ for hateful speech.  He’s even taken it off the Seven Lakes Wi-Fi system.

NEWS 92 FM Online Editor Brandon De Hoyos thinks the principal would be better off focusing on the speech than the delivery method.

“The students can easily go to another social network, another app, and cause the same kind of ruckus,” De Hoyos said.

The principal sent a letter home to parents saying the student’s speech is extremely hateful and included photos and drawings of students and staff members.

De Hoyos says that’s a violation of ‘Gaggle’ terms of service.
