suspectsketches(HOUSTON) — A 5-month-old girl was with Child Protective Services on Thursday after police found her between the bodies of her parents in a southwest Houston apartment, and now the search is on for two men who may be responsible for the deaths.

Houston police said neighbor was walking her dog Wednesday evening in the 5400 block of Renwick Drive when she heard the baby crying, walked up and found the victims — Melissa Ann Guerra and her husband, Jose Miguel Salinas, both 23.

Both of them were dead on the floor from gunshot wounds. The baby girl was lying between them, uninjured.

Houston police released composite sketches of two males seen fleeing the scene around 6:25 p.m. Wednesday. The suspects are described as only as black males.

The first suspect is 18-20 years old, about 5 feet 11 inches tall with a light complexion, a “baby face” appearance and hair cut in a distinctive round Afro. He was last wearing a pink or orange T-shirt.

The second suspect is about 17-20 years old, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a dark complexion and his hair done in twisted curls. He was wearing a white T-shirt.

Police said the motive is unclear at this time, since there was no apparent forced entry and the apartment was not ransacked.
