The Latest News Headlines, Traffic and Weather:

According to court documents, Ripstra poisoned her daughter with salt.

The girl was unconscious and in hypovolemic shock when Ripstra took her to Texas Children’s Hospital, where she worked at the time, on August 6, 2013. She was treated in an intensive care unit for three days.

She was apparently just released from the same hospital a day earlier — August 5.

Court documents state that the girl was in and out of the hospital multiple times with high sodium levels between March and August last year.

The child, now 4, recovered from a brain injury caused by high sodium levels.

According to court documents, she is no longer in her mother’s custody.
