(HOUSTON, TX)– It’s the <strong>West Houston</strong> restaurant brawl seen around the world, and now we’re getting a new perspective of how it all started.
That customer asked for a refund after an employee at the <strong>Chaco’s</strong> restaurant on <strong>Westheimer</strong> threw away her drink as she was getting a to-go cup. One employee was videotaped grabbing the woman, leading to the melee that’s gone viral. Senior Manager <strong>Harold Robertson</strong> tells KHOU 11 the incident should never have gotten out of hand.
Robertson says the manager on duty and two other employees have been fired. A lawyer representing the three customers involved in the brawl says they plan on taking civil action and are pressing for criminal charges.
