It’s no secret that I was rooting for Kentucky to win the national championship. I wanted the Harrison twins (Aaron & Andrew) to fulfill their collegiate destiny and get a ring. But I have to give it up to the stellar defensive guard play of Shabazz Napier & Ryan Boatright for never allowing the Wildcats to get comfortable in their half court sets.

But I thought the tide was going to change and Kentucky would get a huge momentum shift to propel them to the crown when James Young put down this ferocious dunk on two Huskies.

The Wildcats ended up going on a 5-0 run after Young hit a free throw to make it a three point play. I think I woke up everyone in the house screaming from excitement. But, they could never take the lead after cutting the deficit to one. Congrats to UConn head coach Kevin Ollie and the hungry Huskies for winning the crown 60-54.
