Two of five game room robbery and shooting suspects are seen in a surveillance image, provided by HPD

(HOUSTON) — Houston police released surveillance photos Friday from an overnight game room robbery that left a security guard shot and in critical condition.

It happened around 12:30 a.m. at Lucky Star Game Room in the 10900 block of Bissonnet Street.

Rueben Portillo, 53, was working security at the game room when three Hispanic males walked in and starting playing on electronic slot machines.

The suspects then robbed the people inside the game room before all five of them fled. They left the scene in two vehicles — a silver two-door Honda Accord and a red Nissan Sentra with tinted windows and a rear spoiler.

Portillo was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.

The five suspects remain at large.
