This man, seen in a surveillance image, is wanted for using a blowtorch to steal quarters from car wash coin boxes

(PASADENA, TX) — A man got away with a whole lot of quarters, and you could earn a whole lot of dollars with a tip that leads to his arrest.

Pasadena police are looking for a burglar who took a blowtorch to several car wash coin boxes and stole all of the quarters.

It happened between 4 and 6am on February 27 at Spencer Car Wash in the 4800 block of Spencer Highway.

According to police, the man was driving a newer-model gray or silver Porsche Cayenne SUV when he pulled into a car wash bay and pretended he was there to wash his car.

He was then scene on surveillance video pulling a torch out of the back of the vehicle, which he then used to burn open the lock on the coin box.

Police said he collected the coins from the box and then moved to the next bays, repeating the process several times

The man was white or Hispanic and wore a long, brown leather jacket, tan baseball cap and tan pants. His vehicle had a trailer hitch on the rear but no license plates.
