(HOUSTON, TX)–The Chief of the Houston Police Department says when it comes to Houston and marijuana; alternative sentencing for offenders is not a bad idea.

Chief Charles McClelland says if most of society believes that police efforts are being wasted on pot-related crimes, then the law should be changed. Right now, though, the law is what it is and Chief McClelland says officers will continue to enforce it unless that change is made.
