Mia Bella Sorority, Inc., a renaissance sorority for girls ages 9 – 18, in conjunction with First and Ten Entertainment, will host Teen Summit – Houston on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 12pm for teens and high school students.
The event, which will be held at The Red Cat Jazz Cafe, 711 Franklin Street,Houston, Texas 77002 and will provide live musical entertainment, Spoken Word poetry, Dance Crew performances and a panel discussion entitled, “Sizurp, Nina, Keisha and Molly: Teen Drug & Alcohol Use”.
During the event, teens will be given the opportunity to express their thoughts and views on drug use and how it is portrayed in the media through a panel discussion. The M.C. for this event will be Shonnie Murrell from BET’s “Season of the Tiger”.
In addition to Murrell, other musical performances include Houston’s Vin Zeal, a 13-year old up and coming artist and new R&B sensation, Tariq Aidid. Performances by local b-boy dance crews will compliment this event, which will include celebrity panelists to round out the discussion.
