I am a proud Veteran of Desert Storm. I served 4 years in the U.S. Navy as an AZ2. The people I met and places I saw were some of the best times of my life. Here is a picture from a not so good time though…Boot camp!
Before I left home my mom told me to smile for my picture because she wanted to send out a copy to all of her friends and family. But, After doing thousands of push-ups, 8 count body builders and listening to Lee Greenwood’s “Proud To Be An American” about 50 times a day I truly had nothing to smile about. This smile was for you mom.
Salute to all of my fellow shipmates in the US Navy. And even though we joke with one another about the best branch of service I have nothing but respect for the Army, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard.
