A woman is sentenced to eight years probation for trying to hire a hit man to kill her husband. Brittany Martinez could have been sentenced to as many as 99 years in prison for paying a friend $1,000 to kill her husband, a Houston firefighter.
That friend went to police instead. Martinez pleaded guilty in June.
