Keyshia Cole’s husband and NBA player Daniel Gibson turned himself into New Orleans police earlier today for assault and battery charges. According to Gibson he was involved in an incident during the Essence Music Festival while out with his wife when it took place. All the details are still unclear but Gibson released a statement regarding the arrest.
“It’s unfortunate that some see opportunity in taking advantage of people who work hard for what they have achieved.” “Once all the facts of the incident come out, I expect to be fully vindicated.”
The 27-year old Houston native played for the Cleveland Cavaliers last season and has been in the league since being drafted by Cleveland in the 2nd round. Gibson says that he takes pride in being a role model for his son and to other kids who look up to him. He was released from police custody slightly after turning himself in.
