Always the modest one, Nicki Minaj recently told US Weekly she’s been ‘spectacular’ during every moment of her “American Idol” gig.
During a press conference, Nicki said her role as judge has yield surprising results including, she says, respect for her honesty. She tells the magazine:
I felt like, ‘Okay, I know everybody’s just going to hate me,’” she recalled. “There were moments in the audition process that I would say to the producers, ‘I can’t do this anymore. If everyone is going to give a good critique and I’m going to be the only one being honest, then America is going to hate me. I’m going to be seen as mean.’
