Don’t look now but the New York Knicks are 4-0 for the first time since the 1993-1994 season, the year they went to the NBA Finals. That year they were 7-0 to begin the season. The Knicks beat the Dallas Mavericks 104-94 Friday night (11/9) at Madison Square Garden, their fourth straight win by double figures and fourth straight opponent they have held under 100 points.

Do you see a difference? These Knicks are playing defense just like that ’93-’94 team. They are not turning the ball over and Carmelo Anthony is leading the team at both ends of the floor. Raise your hand if you believed the Knicks would be the last undefeated team in the NBA right now. Right. If this team can stay healthy (and that is a big if -they are still without Iman Shumpert & Amare Stoudamire) there is no reason they can’t run through the Eastern Conference on the way to a rematch with the Miami Heat in the postseason.

I know it’s only four games in, but the way the Knicks are winning can’t be ignored. Knicks fans are you excited?
