(Undated) — Apparently one of the Jacksons wants out of the clan. According to TMZ, Michael Jackson’s older brother, Jermaine Jackson, has filed a request to get his last name legally changed. The site says a petition for the name change was filed with the L.A. County Superior Court this week and that Jermaine is citing “artistic reasons.” The request has not yet been approved but a hearing has been scheduled. If the name change does go through, the site says the former Jackson 5 member will be required to have his new last named announced publicly several times in the coming months before it’s made official. A “public” announcement means that he’ll have to have it printed in a local publication.
