Violator Management founder Christ Lighty was laid to rest last week in a service that featured some of hip-hop’s biggest names.
Artists like Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent, LL Cool J, Missy Elliott, Q-Tip, Sean “Diddy” Combs, and Russell Simmons, all came to show their respects to a man that not only affected their professional careers, was also considered a dear friend.
Rumors continue to swirl around the circumstances that caused Chris Lighty’s suicide, however, he was celebrated for his positive legacy and bid farewell by those he touched the most.
Lighty was survived by his two children and his wife, who suspended divorce proceedings in June 2012.
