Doctors who see those who use the drugs referred to as “bath salts” are worried. Dr. Clay Brown is a director of the Memorial Hermann Prevention and Recovery Center.

Dr. Brown says all of the bad things you’ve heard about bath salts are not exaggerated.

The effects are often long-lasting and can even be permanent, leaving recovering users dependent on anti-psychotic drugs. To make matters worse, it’s also extremely addictive, Dr. Brown says. He adds that parents should seek help for any kid that engages in hyperactive, bizarre behavior.
