Delroy Simmonds may not have the cool gadgets or bodysuit, but there’s no doubting he’s a superhero. The father of two was en route to a job interview Tuesday when a wind gust blew a stroller carrying a 9-month-old boy onto the tracks at New York’s Van Siclen Avenue subway station. Simmonds leaped off the platform to save the child as the J train barreled down the tracks. The baby, treated for cuts, is going to be OK.

“Everybody is making me out to be some sort of superhero,” Simmonds said. “Anybody in that situation should have done what I did.” He doesn’t want praise, just “a job.”
