I’ve been having some interesting conversations with people about Chris Brown and Rihanna “ALLEGEDLY” getting back together or just the fact that they did the “Birthday Cake” song together. Well, here is my 2 cents…first let me say…yes, i believe in forgiveness. As long as you understand that forgiveness is for YOU…not the other person. Forgiveness help YOU to move on.
Only those two ppl really know what happened that night. It is easy to say “Their business is THEIR business” however it isn’t. When you are an entertainer, t world sees everything! There are people who pay attention to what they do whether they have chosen to be role models are not. What I don’t want to see is these young girls who are getting beat down by their boyfriends thinking THIS situation is like theres. The fact is, there are men beating women who don’t see anything wrong with it…there are men that are abusive that DON’T need to EVER return to your life. It doesn’t mean you can’t forgive them but there is no need for them to have a place in your life anymore so that you can live a healthy life!
Just know that an abusive person needs help. They need to recognize that they need help and what they are doing is wrong. Sometimes women say, “He only did it once”. Sometimes this may be true….other times it happens over and over. You don’t deserve to EVER have a person hit you. Value yourself.
I’ve been abused both physically and mentally by a men. I forgave them. You won’t see me having lunch with these guys though. They won’t be invited to my birthday party. They won’t ever be on my radio show. That is my choice and the best decision for me.
