George Stinney, Jr. was 14 years old when South Carolina executed him in 1944, making him the youngest person executed in the U.S. in the nineteenth century. He was convicted of murdering two white girls. His family is said he was at home when the crime took place and George was innocent. There is a move to clear his name and his family is asking the state of South Carolina to make an apology for executing him.
