(Undated) — Disney is cashing in on the box office success of “The Lion King 3D” with plans to release more 3D versions of their animated classics. The movie studio says four more theatrical re-releases are in the works, starting with a 3D version of “Beauty and the Beast” in January. Next, the studio will launch a 3D version of the Pixar flick “Finding Nemo” next September, followed by 3D versions of “Monsters, Inc.” and “The Little Mermaid” in 2013. “The Lion King” has passed the 80-million-dollar threshold at the U.S. box office since its re-release into theaters last month. Worldwide ticket sales have surpassed the one-billion-dollar box office threshold.
