The chairman of Abington, Massachusetts’ school committee says he’s sorry for making a bra magically appear during a televised meeting. According to “The Enterprise,” Russell Fitzgerald decided to kick off Tuesday’s meeting by appearing to tear off committee member Ellen Killian’s undergarments through her clothes. Fitzgerald is an amateur magician, and likes to start off meetings by showing off a new trick. On Wednesday, however, he issued a written apology stating that Tuesday’s less than magical moment was inappropriate. Fitzgerald says he was just trying to keep things “enjoyable and lighthearted,” adding that he had “no prior knowledge how this trick was going to end.” Fitzgerald has agreed to no longer perform magic tricks during meetings.
