(Undated) — Gary Busey meets Ted Haggard in a new edition of ABC’s “Wife Swap.” The network is developing a celebrity version of its trading places reality series with the quirky Hollywood actor and the disgraced Colorado pastor as the spotlight subjects. Busey, last seen on NBC’s “Celebrity Apprentice,” welcomed a son with girlfriend Steffanie Sampson last February. Haggard, meantime, remains married to wife Gayle Alcorn, who stood by her man during a 2006 sex scandal that revealed the evangelical pastor’s relationship with another man.
Like the original “Wife Swap,” “Celebrity Wife Swap” will see Busey and Haggard living separately with each other’s partners and families. ABC has not yet announced a premiere date for “Celebrity Wife Swap.”
