A New York mother and son are feeling a little more calm now that a four-legged foe is behind bars. “The New York Post” reports that Rosa Davila and her 27-year-old son Victor Marte called the cops on their cat, Carmen, on Saturday. The Midtown Manhattanites were in a total panic when the 16-pound feline launched herself through the air at an unsuspecting Marte. Davila remembered her attacker, saying, quote, “I yelled, ‘Carmen! Calm down!’ I wanted her to jump off, but then she started attacking my son. I was in shock — I was very scared for my son.” After being taken into custody, authorities determined that Carmen is a borderline diabetic with a thyroid condition. Police handed the perp off to Manhattan Animal Care and Control Center where she will remain in custody for ten days.
