On Twitter, President Obama has nearly 3.3 million followers who receive government and Obama related updates on a regular basis.

The job is a little too hard for the Prez to handle, and needs someone to send out his tweets for him.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the Democratic National Committee posted a job ad recently seeking a “social networks manager,” who would update Obama’s official profiles on Twitter, Facebook and other social-media tools.

The WSJ writes:

Mia Cambronero, who currently holds the job, “will be stepping down from my infamous role as ‘Barack Obama’s twitterer,’ ” she said in an email message posted to a listserv. “We’re looking for someone who is available to start immediately.

“The new hire will work closely with the rest of the new media department to execute grassroots campaigns to advance the President’s agenda for change,” the listing says.

Among the qualifications sought: “Ready to work hard; this isn’t a 9-5 sort of job.”

Yep, Obama doesn’t tweet himself. He admitted to it himself last year, saying he’s too clumsy to type on his phone.
