I went to join the the gym at Fitness Connection in 2008, and i was gettin enrolled by a guy name Matthew, who is now my fiance. It was crazy how we clicked and had chemistry in the 20 minutes i got to know him as i registered to join the gym. He continued to flirt with me even though i blew him off cause i felt he was a “player” since he obviously met with and signed women up all day long at the gym, and being interested in me was kinda hard to believe. However, i left the gym and literally as i walked out the door my cell phone started ringing and i was trippin cause it was Fitness Connection callin me (i was thinking something was wrong with my information)….then as i answered it i realize the person on the other end was Matthew and he wanted me to join him on his lunch break….i felt it was weird so i declined the offer and told him i’d call him later since he had given me his card “personally” with his direct cell phone number on it. Later in the evening he gave me a call when he got off around 11pm and we were on the phone til about 2am. During the phone conversation i learned that “Mr. Perfect Matthew” wasn’t so perfect he was telling me how he was going to court cause he had missed a probabtion meeting but it wasn’t nothing major so i was like”Hmmmm” kinda awkward to me but for some reason he gave me his full name and date of birth…..now to the point he went to court the next afternoon and told me he’d call me after he got out. I never heard from him that day. I was kinda wondering but never thought of anything i figured he lost interest in me, so i let the week go by and something told me to get call the county and i did and i found out he was gonna be sent to a state prison for 180 days. I was pretty bummed so i decided to write him and send him some commissary, just so he knew i was aware of what happen to him. I got a response back about 2 weeks later and he was so shocked and surprised that i did that for him and found him, and we continued to write as friends (keep in mind i was playin hard to get and didn’t see boyfriend potenial in him)as the 180days shortened and grew closer to his release date i continued to write him, send money, and go visit as often as i could eventually we fell in love and have been together since. The crazy thing is i knew him ONE day and i guess i can say i followed my heart as the feelings grew.
