2011 welcomes the 25th Anniversary of the SXSW Music and Media Conference, one of the largest, most influential, and most anticipated music events of the year. Over 13,000 music industry professionals attended SXSW 2010 for compelling panels, industry discussions, demo listening sessions, trade show exhibits, and now six nights of music by no less than 1,978 acts representing 49 different countries, performing in 89 venues in downtown Austin, Texas. For 2011, SXSW plans on keeping with our tradition of continuously outdoing ourselves by bringing you even more of the absolute best mix of brand new, up-and-coming, international and legendary musical performances, planted all over Austin in bars, clubs, halls, parks and even in churches and a historical museum.
