ANGLETON, Texas – A judge ruled on Friday that two Pee Wee football teams at the center of a brawl will not be able to compete in the playoffs.

The controversy over playoff participation erupted after a September fight between coaches of the Pearland Patriots and Pearland Hurricanes Pee Wee football teams.

The board of the Bay Area Football League originally banned both teams, who were tied for 1st place, from playing in the postseason. But an injunction issued in court earlier this week stated the teams could play.

A judge on Friday, however, reversed the decision, making both teams ineligible.
