A bank robber dubbed the “bicycle bandit” has struck for a sixth time, investigators said.

FBI officials said the man robbed the Comerica Bank in the 15700 block of Kingfield Drive on Tuesday.

The man walked into the bank at about 1:45 p.m. and handed a threatening demand note to one of the tellers, investigators said.

“I have a gun,” the note read. “Put all the money in the bag or I will shoot you.”

The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, officials said. The man fled on foot, officials said. A getaway car was not spotted, but the same man is suspected of using a bike to get away after robbing other banks in the area, detectives said.

The bicycle bandit is described as black, 37 to 42 years old, 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall with a slim build and a bald head. He was last seen wearing a black shirt with a blue design on the front and dark jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
