(Davenport, IA) — A Davenport, Iowa, restaurant is facing a heavy fine after its head chef was seen kissing and licking live toads on YouTube. When the Scott County Health Department reviewed the video Wednesday, they issued a 335-dollar ticket. Christopher Turla is reportedly seen at the prep table picking up two small toads, kissing them, repeatedly licking them, then stuffing them both in his mouth. Turla claims the video was just a joke. The Health Department saw several sanitation violations instead.
