(Little Rock, AR) — He may carry a popular name and look the part, but does Elvis D. Presley really have a chance at being Arkansas’ next governor? The 44-year-old filed as a write-in candidate yesterday. And, yes, this Elvis is a singer, songwriter and actor and an Elvis impersonator. He’s also a wannabe politician and his competition includes Democratic incumbent Governor Mike Beebe, and two other challengers, Republican Jim Keet and Green Party nominee Jim Lendall.
