The Je’Caryous Johnson Acting School, a place for education, entertainment and entrepreneurship, will broaden its pool of talent by auditioning singers and dancers to become members of a national touring performance group “Eveready Players,” on Saturday, July 24, 2010, from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at TBH Center, 333 South Jensen Drive, Houston, TX 77003. Contemporary dancers in the genres of hip hop, modern, jazz or praise are encouraged to attend. No formal training is necessary. Singers will be asked to sing a gospel song that shows vocal range and power.

Participants, who must be at least 16 years of age and possess true talent, will be given one to two minutes to impress a panel of judges. Winners will go on to secure a free slot in the acting studio as well as become members of the “Eveready Players.”

Auditions are first come first serve. For additional information, email Lauren Williams at lauren@imreadyproductions.com or call 832.722.1383.

About the Je’Caryous Johnson Acting School

Actor, playwright, author, director and executive producer Je’Caryous Johnson (pictured above) conceived the Je’Caryous Johnson Acting School (JJAS) after experiencing an enormous amount of talent in the Houston area that had no real training program that could turn talented performers into gainfully employed performers. By leveraging his personal experience and industry alliances, JJAS brings Hollywood to Houston. After developing the skill set needed to pursue artistic dreams, students can take their talent to the next level in acting and writing.
