*NFL Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor has been indicted by a suburban New York grand jury on charges of rape, criminal sexual act and sexual abuse, the AP reports.

The indictment Wednesday follows his May 6 arrest at a Holiday Inn, where he allegedly paid a 16-year-old girl $300 to have sex with him, according to prosecutors.

The former New York Giant was also indicted on charges of endangering the welfare of a child and patronizing a prostitute.

Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Zugibe says the teen victim told investigators that she had been verbally threatened and physically assaulted by Taylor after being brought to his hotel room by a pimp.

Taylor has denied the charges. The alleged pimp, Rasheed Davis, She was later arrested by New York City police.
