Houston is getting a very personal side of Kandi Burruss this weekend.

The Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, entrepreneur and reality television personality is bringing her one-woman show, “I Do. I Did. I’m Done.”, to House of Blues Houston on Sunday, August 23 at 6 p.m. The 21-and-over event promises something different from a traditional concert because Kandi isn’t just coming to perform—she’s coming to tell her story.

Kandi explained in an interview, what this show means to her, “I’m not bringing it but the show is I do I did. I’m done get some mixture of music that start out like mine. You know what you know and it’s gonna be a vibe cause that’s our relationship all right it’s all you know and I did like you’re still in the middle. That’s when we get a little spicy but it’s particular show in the middle of the show like we’re gonna have people come on stage are we gonna get real real spicy? There’s gonna be like a party with DJ and then I’m done and basically it’s gonna be me doing [my show online] that I do people where normally tell their their personal stories and business but this time it’s gonna be me I’m gonna tell y’all the rail rail of why I got divorced.”

And that’s probably what makes this show so interesting. We see celebrities all the time, but we usually see the finished product. We see the red carpets, the television appearances, the performances and the social media posts. This show is designed to give audiences a more intimate look at the woman behind all of that.

Kandi has said the show takes the audience through different emotions. There are moments to laugh, moments to party and moments where things get much more serious. She even plans to share clips and stories that she hasn’t previously shared publicly.

So if you’ve ever wanted to hear Kandi tell her story in her own words, Houston is getting that opportunity Sunday night. And honestly, a night that combines R&B, storytelling, a little spice and some real-life tea? Houston might want to come ready.
