The music community is sending prayers up for Pierre “P” Thomas, the co-founder of Quality Control Music, after reports that he has been hospitalized following a heart attack.

Thomas helped build Quality Control into one of the most influential labels in modern hip-hop alongside Kevin “Coach K” Lee. The company became home to major names including Migos, Lil Baby and City Girls, helping shape the sound and business of Atlanta hip-hop over the last decade.

News of Thomas’ hospitalization spread quickly, and with it came confusion online. Some people were posting claims that he had died, while other reports said he was alive and receiving treatment. As of the latest credible reporting, the confirmed information is that Thomas is hospitalized and receiving medical care. Reports have placed him in a Las Vegas ICU.

And this is one of those moments where it’s important to slow down before reposting everything you see on social media. When somebody’s health is involved, rumors can spread incredibly fast, especially when people are reacting emotionally.

Pierre “P” Thomas has played a major role in the careers of some of the biggest artists in hip-hop. Whatever happens next, the immediate focus should be on his health and giving his family privacy while they navigate the situation.

For now, we’re sending prayers and positive energy his way.
