Today we take it back to 1996. It was a great year for some classic hip hop CD’s, 2Pac’s ground breaking double CD “All Eyez On Me, Outkast started all the martian talk with “ATLiens”, and we were introduced to a young hustler from Brooklyn named Jay-Z who gave us “Reasonable Doubt”. On the R&B side it seemed like every artist put out self titled 112, Case, Keith Sweat, & Total.
Unfortunately, on September 13th 2Pac loss his life due to gunshot wounds from a drive by shooting on the Las Vegas strip. The rap world had never witnessed anything like this before. Sadly, we would see it again six months later in March 2007 when The Notorious B.I.G. suffered the same fate in Los Angeles.
