The premiere of VH1’s “Hip-Hop Honors: The Dirty South” proved to be a ratings success for the network on Monday night. The seventh installment of the VH1 special was the second highest rated edition to date, with nearly two-million viewers tuning in. The show also averaged a one-point-two rating among viewers 18 to 49. Hosted by “The Office” star Craig Robinson, “Hip-Hop Honors: The Dirty South” paid tribute to the contributions that artists from Southern states have made to the rap industry. Honorees included Jermaine Dupri, Timbaland, 2 Live Crew, Master P and Organized Noize. The show also featured performances from artists like Diddy, Bow Wow, T-Pain, Rick Ross, Pitbull, Flo Rida, Keri Hilson, Drake and Fabolous.
