(Fayetteville, NC) — A snake interrupted power to thousands of homes in North Carolina. More than 88-hundred Progress Energy customers were without electricity for about two hours last Thursday night as crews figured out what went wrong. A Progress Energy spokesperson said the snake found its way into a substation, causing a short-circuit and cutting the power. Crews removed the snake and reset the substation.
