Actor Idris Elba, was born in the United Kingdom, but for us, he’s best known for his skills on the American screen.
At 43-year old Elba is now doing something that he’s always wanted to do, he is training to become a professional kick boxer.
As exciting as that sounds, it’s more exciting to learn that he will be training as part of a new and upcoming reality show on the Discovery Channel called Idris Elba: Fighter #IdrisElbaFighter.
Elba has done a number on the big screen in movies such as: Buffalo Soldiers, American Gangster, This Christmas, Thor, Star Trek Beyond as well as voices for movies such as: Finding Dory, The Jungle Book, Zootopia, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 game and Real Strength.
And that’s not where he stops regarding acting either because he’s appeared in a TV series as well.
The program is airing in early 2017, it will be a three parter and is giving us an hour for each episode.
His program will show Elba training around world and he said, “It has been lifelong ambition of mine to fight professionally. Entering the ring to further test myself as a human being is a challenge I have been looking to take on for quite some time.”
