The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree or maybe the tree isn’t too far away from the apple.

Drake’s dad, Dennis Graham, is about to jump back in the music game.

The Memphis, Tennessee born Graham played drums for Rock-N-Roll Legend Jerry Lee Lewis and rumor has it that funk bassist Larry Graham so we can see were Drake catches some of his musical influences.

Now, the 60-something-year-old is launching a musical career of his own and is giving fans a taste with a snippet of his new single and video for “Kinda Crazy” (via TMZ).

It’s kinda crazy,” he sings. “But I feel you underneath my skin / At first glance, I think it’s where my obsession begins.”

Also what makes this even more interesting, Drake’s pop is collaborating with producer Jamie Iovine, the son of Apple Music Executive and Interscope Records founder Jimmy Iovine.

The song is dropping this month while dad completes the R&B album.

It seems that Dennis Graham‘s music has been in the works for a minute because Drake rapped about it his father’s musical aspirations on his last album, “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late,” and the song “You & the 6.”

You know he dropping a single, he saying this is his window,

He made mistakes throughout his life that he still doesn’t accept

I’m content with this story, who are we not to forgive him?

Seems like Drake has giving his pop the go ahead.
